About the Context
The Central African Republic (CAR) continues to face enormous humanitarian needs due to years of conflict and instability. In 2025, half of the population still requires humanitarian assistance (2.8 million people) and approximately 40% of the population fears for their safety. Approximately 500,000 people are living in protracted displacement and depend on humanitarian assistance and protection to survive, while more than 2 million people face food insecurity.
NRC has been present in CAR since 2014 and currently employs 6 international staff and approximately 80 national staff. NRC's operations cover a large geographical area with activities spread across strategic prefectures throughout the country, such as Mambere Kadei, Nana Mambere and Ouham Pendé in the west, Nana Gribizi, Kemo and Ouham Fafa in the centre, Basse-Kotto in the south, and Ombella Mpoko in the south-west. The NRC operates from three field offices in Bouar, Kaga Bandoro and Alindao, as well as a country office in Bangui, the capital.
In 2026, the CAR mission will focus most of its activities in Nana Gribizi. To achieve its country objectives, the NRC is seeking an experienced and dedicated Area Manager based in Kaga Bandoro.
