Under the overall supervision of the Head of the (Global) Recruitment unit, direct supervision of the Senior Human Resources Officer (Global Deployment Roster , and in collaboration with the (Global) recruitment team and relevant units at Headquarters, the relevant ICT Officer assigned to the Deployment Roster and the Administrative Centres, the incumbent will provide  technical support for short-term deployment opportunities managed through the global Deployment Roster. The selected candidate is expected to be the overall focal point for day-to-day operational questions on the  Deployment Roster. 

  1. Review the functioning of the Deployment Roster to ensure a pipeline of qualified candidates is available for rapid deployments. 
  2. Contribute in the identification of  critical organizational roles, especially in the context of emergencies; actively source for qualified candidates to ensure the existence of updated talent pipelines to feed deployments on related opportunities.
  3. Participate in recruitment events, webinars aiming at creating social media presence and inditifying potential candidates.
  4. Monitor opportunities on the Roster, liaising with requestors regularly to ensure the platform is constantly updated.
  5. Monitor pending vetting processes regularly, proactively reaching out to vetting experts to ensure a timely evaluation of applicants. 
  6. Partner with hiring offices in a way that helps anticipate bottlenecks in order to keep the target in terms of recruitment metrics.
  7. Manage the Deployment Roster mailbox, answering queries and providing users with a timely and efficient support.
  8. Coordinate the appointment of Country and Region focal points  and Requesters, ensuring deputies’ contextual selection to avoid any disruptions.
  9. Coordinate regular sessions with hiring offices to ensure the vetting of candidates’ skills. 
  10. Plan and conduct regular outreach sessions for the global Deployment Roster to inform potential candidates and hiring offices. 
  11. In collaboration with the National Human resources office (RecOps), contribute to process improvement and the development of talent- related processes, practices, and tactics especially those pertaining to building and nurturing the deployment pipeline.
  12. Liaise with ICT to ensure the smooth functioning of the Deployment Roster and address issues at short notice. 
  13. Support the development of knowledge and information management related to recruitment activities and talent pipelines. Produce/ maintain knowledge products -repository, Standards Operating Procedures on the deployment roster for various stakeholders in collaboration with ICT-, templates, etc.- to facilitate replication of good practices and learning. Train/coach new staff and contribute to continuous capacity-building for existing staff in the Team.
  14. Provide input to the preparation of periodic statistical reports. Prepare special reports, briefs and presentations in the area of recruitment. Support in collecting information for internal and external audits, verification requests, etc.
  15. Promote a consistent, fair and transparent application/implementation of recruitment and HR policies.
  16. Keep abreast of best practices and related technological tools and participate in the definition of revised or new business requirements for existing Applicant Tracking System with the view of enhancing integration.Partner with relevant stakeholders including ICT in order to contribute in streamlining the talent pipeline process and  enhancinging the Deployment Roster. 
  17. Perform such other duties as may be assigned. Education
    • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Social Sciences or a related field from an accredited academic institution with relevant experience, or
    • University degree in the above fields from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience. Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.   Experience
      • Working experience in fast-paced environments is required;
      • Experience in talent acquisition, talent management, staff development, performance management is required
      • Experience in supervising a team is required.
      • Experience in sourcing and attraction, and recruitment marketing.
      • Experience in supporting roles in a global shared service center or multi-countries operations supervising a team is highly desirable.
      • Familiarity with Oracle Recruiting is desirable. Familiarity with the UN common system or similar systems is an advantage. Skills
