Work LocationBogota Expected duration6 months Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe incumbent is responsible for the completion of a variety of specialized activities enabling the efficient operations of the transportation/vehicle fleet in line with UN Rules and Regulations. Maintains complete records and documents of all related transactions and entries. Generates complete and up-to-date inventory reports. Generates correspondence and relevant status reports/technical reports as required. Manages the repair and service of a multi type vehicle fleet at multiple workshops in separate locations, including regular maintenance, ad-hoc repair, body shop, and painting. Process scheduled and corrective maintenance requests received from all Duty Stations (remote locations included). Issue Service Request Orders as stipulated in the contract. Proactive coordination of scheduled maintenance of vehicles. Monitors the quality of body, electrical, and mechanical repair work completed for all UN Fleet vehicles. Provides technical input into the preparation of SOWs for potential service contractors and the evaluation of the viability of maintenance and repair proposals received by the mission. Coordinates insurance support and recovery of vehicles when needed. Ensures that insurance documents, techno-mechanical revision and fire extinguishers are maintained and up to date. Monitors contractual performance of vendors and verifies financial invoices if required. Performs other related duties if needed as back-up such Dispatch related activities, as well as Road Safety functions. Qualifications/special skillsHigh school diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of 5 years of experience in Transport Operations, Fleet Management, Logistics or related area is required. Experience on Quality Assurance/Control management is desirable. Experience on Billing/Invoicing is desirable. Valid Driving License is required. Technical certification in Transport duties is desirable LanguagesEnglish and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
