    Purpose of the Internship Programme
    The Internship Programme is a unique learning opportunity aimed at attracting young and talented candidates who aspire to contribute to the mission of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP). WFP is the world's largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide, and its mission is to help the world achieve Zero Hunger in our lifetimes. Every day, WFP works globally to ensure that no child goes to bed hungry and that the poorest and most vulnerable, particularly women and children, can access the nutritious food they need.
    This programme will provide successful candidates with the opportunity to put into practice and implement their academic knowledge in a field related to WFP’s work. Through this experience, participants will gain a better understanding of WFP’s mandate and programmes while contributing to its objectives. In turn, the programme offers WFP access to qualified individuals specializing in relevant fields, aligning with WFP’s Strategic Objectives and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

    About WFP’s Mandate
    WFP’s activities include food assistance for relief, school feeding, safety nets, nutrition support, and food assistance for assets creation through in-kind and cash-based transfers. These efforts aim to enhance food security and resilience among vulnerable populations.
    Interns will join an efficient and dynamic team and play a critical role in supporting the implementation of WFP’s Country Strategic Plan, contributing meaningfully to WFP’s fight against hunger and malnutrition.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Assist in unit tasks and day-to-day activities such as maintaining records and supporting processes and including communication and tracking.

    2. Assist with coordination for events and workshops.

    3. Contribute to the improvement of administrative systems and processes. 4. Support to Produce dashboards to support the work of unit.

    5. Be a proactive listener to unit challenges and propose relevant recommendations.

    6. Any other tasks required to support operations.

    Requirements:

    Education: Currently enrolled in the University and have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies or have recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate programme within the last 6 months from a university in the field of Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.

    Language: Fluency in English and Russian/Tajik.
