The project objective is to contribute to the national processes of strengthening family farmers in Brazil for poverty reduction and rural revitalization. The outcome is to implement differentiated policies and programs that improve the capacities of the national government, local and family farmers in areas such as ATER (rural extension and technical advisory services), Credit Programs, land access and governance, access to markets and the strengthening of cooperativism.
Reporting Lines
The incumbent reports to the Assistant Representative in FAO Brazil – Programme.
Technical Focus
Carry out a study to support the Department of the National Registry of Family Agriculture in the fulfillment of its powers to encourage registration and disseminate information about the National Registry of Family Agriculture and its forms of registration, as well as to promote communication actions to encourage the registration of family farmers.
The work should be able to guide the standardization of technical and informative content on the National Registry of Family Farming, in addition to planning its dissemination considering the territorial diversities and specificities of the family farming public.
Tasks and Responsibilities
• Survey, systematization and analysis of existing technical and informative content on the National Registry of Family Farming, produced by the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Family Farming;
• Preparation of a proposal for standardization of language, format and identity of the technical and informative contents of the National Registry of Family Agriculture, with a view to clarity, accessibility and normative adherence;
• Support the development of proposed dissemination strategies segmented by target audience (family farmers, CAF Network entities, public managers, and the general public), taking into consideration territorial and sociocultural diversity;
• Preparation of proposals for informative materials to support the activities of the Department of National Registry of Family Farming;
• Prepare proposal for the production of inputs for reports, guides, manuals, and information campaigns on the National Registry of Family Farming, in accessible formats, in line with the institutional communication strategy of the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Family Farming;
• Prepare proposal for the elaboration of indicators and metrics for monitoring and evaluating the reach and effectiveness of content dissemination and communication actions.
• Conduct technical dialogue with the various actors involved in CAF's communication process, as necessary to support the development of the planned products; and
• Contribute to the construction of strategies and methodologies to qualify and expand the reach of the National Registry of Family Farming
CANDIDATES WILL BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE FOLLOWING:
Minimum Requirements
• University degree in Applied Social Sciences or Human Sciences, according to the Capes/CNPq table of areas of knowledge
• Minimum experience of 05 (five) years in planning and communication management in governmental or civil society organizations.
• Working knowledge of English and Portuguese;
• National of Brazil or resident of the country with valid work permit

• Experience in public policies for family farming or working in programs and projects aimed at the family farming public.
