    Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship

    The position of Senior Project Assistant is assigned to the Cambodia Resident Mission (CARM) within the Southeast Asia Department. You will be based at our Resident Mission Office in Phnom Penh.

    Your Role

    As a Senior Project Assistant, you will provide operational support in project and technical assistance implementation, coordinate activities for project administration, and provide technical and logistical support to project teams. You will report to the designated international staff and officer.

    You will:

  • Prepare project-related correspondence for project team leaders ensuring compliance with ADB's project administrative instructions and staff instructions.
Provide project-related logistics arrangements including internal and external meetings, project implementation missions and travel arrangements. Monitor implementation performance against targets and advise the team leader on discrepancies. Ensure ADB's project and technical assistance databases are updated with accurate data promptly, these include eOps and SovOps. Provide operational oversight of assigned technical assistance including the selection and recruitment process of consultants, processing claims and contract variations, monitoring budget and implementation progress, and collecting and compiling relevant data for completion reports following existing procedures and guidelines promptly. Help prepare the Project Administration Manual by gathering and consolidating data in the appendices for preparing different sections (e.g. project description, project scope, loan allocation, procurement, loan covenants). Ensure that project and technical assistance records (both electronic and physical) are maintained and updated for easy retrieval and track the flow of documents. Provide guidance on the application of work area procedures, guidelines and formats. Relieve other operations assistants when they are absent. Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned and reflected in your workplan.

Qualifications

You will need:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, social science or any other relevant discipline. At least 5 years of relevant professional experience providing administrative and operational assistance. Hands-on working experience supporting multilateral technical assistance, loan, and grant projects of similar institutions. Experience undertaking background research on difficult but well-defined tasks. Proficiency in the use of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint). Ability to work collaboratively with ADB stakeholders, i.e., ADB staff, government officials and other development partners. Excellent proficiency in oral and written English communications. Additional Information

This is a fixed term appointment with option to renew for an initial period of 3 years following Section 3.1 (b) of Administrative Order No. 2.01 (\"Recruitment and Appointment'). This appointment is not convertible to a regular appointment. At the end of the initial period, this appointment may be renewed for a period of up to three years, or not renewed. There is no limit on the number of renewals. This appointment is open to internal and external applicants.

This opening is a local staff position. It is open only to nationals and residents of Cambodia.
