The Statistics Department (STA) of the IMF, and the IMF’s Regional Office in Riyadh (ROR), have an opening for a Real Sector Statistics Advisor (RSSA) based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The RSSA will oversee and undertake capacity development support in real sector statistics in the 6 Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and United Arab Emirates). In addition, the RSSA may also conduct trainings in support of the broader Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, in coordination with IMF’s Middle East Center for Economics and Finance (CEF) and Middle East Regional Technical Assistance Center (METAC). The RSSA’s initial appointment would be for a period of one year with the possibility for extension up to two years, contingent on performance, ongoing budget/business need, and management approval.
