Position: Research Supervisor
Contract: 1-year renewable contract Location: Kano

DUTIES:
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to establish broad-based partnerships that promote and disseminate improved watershed management and agricultural practices.Train smallholder farmers and local extension workers in crop production, water-efficient techniques, and post-harvest management.Facilitate the adoption of appropriate, improved technologies among farmers through testing, demonstration, and evaluation of new varieties to stimulate demand for these technologies.Support stakeholder engagement activities, including partnership building, social mobilization, and organizing project planning meetings.Document project activities through high-quality technical reports.Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.Requirements
QUALIFICATION:
HND/ BSc in Agronomy, Agricultural Science and other related courses. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of two (2) years\u2019 experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.
COMPETENCIES:
The ideal candidate must:
Possess strong knowledge of partnership building, community mobilization, crop production, and farmer training.Have experience working with research organizations, NGOs, farmers, multi-stakeholder platforms, and crop value chains.Be committed, dependable, and able to work effectively under pressure.Be fluent in English and Hausa, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related technologies.Provide technical support to farmers and other stakeholders in designing and implementing strategies to improve crop productivity for smallholder farmers in irrigation scheme areas.Have experience assisting capacity building for farmers, including crop producers, and contribute to strengthening stakeholder partnerships.Benefits
