This position will primarily be hired for the Environmental Health and WASH group within the Health Systems and Population Studies Division, focusing on a study aimed to develop an anticipatory action to mitigate the effect of extreme heat among vulnerable population groups. The study involves a multi-level stakeholder engagement, including the Directorate General of Health Services, Department of Agricultural Extension, Bangladesh Meteorological Department and the Department of Environment.
Key responsibilities The position holder will report to an associate scientist, and her/his responsibilities will include:
Protocol Development; Developing training manual and guideline for health care facilities; Liaison with government stakeholders for implementation of the study activities; Statistical analysis of cross-sectional and longitudinal dataset; Scientific manuscript writing and publication; Presenting research findings to the local and global audience; Guide junior team members and supervise field implementation; Support the PI in any other scientific and technical activities.Required qualification and experience:
MSc in relevant discipline/Masters in Public Health; 3-5 years' experience in relevant field.
