This position will primarily be hired for the Population Science research group within the Health Systems and Population Studies Division, focusing on a study aimed at improving the measurement of age and cause-specific mortality in children under five. The study will use standard techniques to measure under-five mortality rates and causes of death in household-based surveys in resource-limited settings and compare the survey data with Health and Demographic Surveillance System data.
Key responsibilities
The position holder will report to an associate scientist, and her/his responsibilities will include:
Statistical analysis of cross-sectional and longitudinal health and demographic studies; Scientific manuscript writing and publication; Protocol development; Presenting research findings to the local and global audience; Coordination with internal and external stakeholders; Guide junior team members; Support the PI in any other scientific and technical activities.Required qualification and experience:
BSc and MSc in Statistics /Applied Statistics/Biostatistics; 3-5 years' experience in relevant field. The candidate must have experience in:Location: Dhaka
