Position: Research Associate
Contract: 2-year renewable contract

DUTIES:
Provide technical support on implementation of BioSSA research activities in Nigeria, Assist in the coordination of BioSSA project activities with all units (implementing the project activities) and assist with direct supervision of all NRS-and junior staff, Document BioSSA products for trial implementation (list of products and corresponding partners), establish and provide import permits to BioSSA partners in collaboration with NARS and regulatory bodies, Assist in providing step by step QA/QC checks, Assist with BioSSA Team and partners in providing the draft research protocols to address activities implementation (Protocols, dummy videos, etc.). Assist and work with BioSSA Team in activities implementation (field identification, seed sourcing, trials setting and trials implementation, data collection, data analysis and in drafting trial reports). Provide regular updates on progress with BioSSA activities in Nigeria, Analyze and write up research results, and work with project Team to publish in various formats (reports, blogs, journal publications etc.), Take responsibility for assuring the correctness of ODKs and barcoding. Perform any other job-related duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements
QUALIFICATION:
Masters degree in Microbiology, Agronomy or any other related field with a minimum of four (4) years\u2019 experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.

Have excellent writing and oral communication skills in English for efficient communication and reporting. Be proficient in MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and basic exposure to data curation techniques. Be well organized, able to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines with keen attention to detail. Have a positive attitude, strong team spirit and the ability to work well in a diverse team. Be experience in trials reporting.
