Job Summary:
HarvestPlus is seeking a Regional Resource Mobilization Specialist to support the development, successful implementation and monitoring of the Asia regional fundraising and donor diversification strategy. Working in Asia, the RM Specialist will develop, monitor and drive the implementation of country/regional fundraising strategies, in line with the broader programme strategy; lead on the coordination and submission of high-quality funding proposals for programmes taking place in the Asia region; contribute to the capacity development of partners in the region through the provision of training and support in resource mobilisation and donor compliance. Background:
HarvestPlus improves nutrition and public health by developing and promoting biofortified food crops that are rich in vitamins and minerals and providing global leadership on biofortification evidence and technology. HarvestPlus is a part of the CGIAR and is based at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), one of the CGIAR research centres.
Essential Duties:
The RM Specialist will report to the Commercialization of Biofortification Crops (CBC) Program Head and will be working in close collaboration with the Country Managers in Asia and HarvestPlus team on activities including but not limited to:
Creating a pipeline of probable funding opportunities Manage donor relationships for the existing programs along with Asia Country Teams Regularly track, identify, and process opportunities relevant to Harvest Plus Write proposals and pitch decks and ensure timely submissions of the same Assist the CBC Program Head in developing relations and reaching out to the relevant networks for opportunities around Resource Mobilisation Work in close collaboration with Asia country teams to understand the nature of work, identify opportunities of partnership to compliment the same and secure funding opportunities Prepare and share the pursuit pipeline dashboards with the regional teams Plan and organise donor engagement events, roadshows, webinars to engage current and potential donorsRequired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from a reputed institution and a relevant work experience of a minimum of 7 years, or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience Experience of working with institutional donors UN agencies; CSR foundations or other major donors operating in the region. Substantial experience of writing and reviewing funding applications and donor reports Strong understanding of Resource Mobilisation, proposal development and donor preferences Demonstrated experience engaging government and private sector stakeholders and collaborators Fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:
Experience in working with International NGOs or development consulting organisations Experience working in a global, multicultural organizationAppointment:
This position is a one-year appointment and is renewable contingent upon continued satisfactory performance and program funding.
