Work LocationUNIC MEXICO Expected duration6 months Duties and ResponsibilitiesUnder the primary supervision of the National Information Officer, the daily responsibilities will depend on the individual's background. Duties may include but are not limited to: Assist in the development of a graphic design plan with multimedia products that support UNIC communications activities, campaigns and events, aligned with UN branding guidelines; 3 Assist in the design of multimedia materials (postcards, videos, gifs, animations, infographics, reports, maps, banners, web developments, etc.) for various formats and digital platforms, including UN institutional and partner campaigns and for a variety of publics. Assist in the design of printed materials (brochures, banners, backs, reports and promotional items). Production of dummies for printing and reproduction of graphic materials. Photo editing. Research, design and implement appropriate formats of public outreach for a variety of target audiences. Assist in the creation of visual products for the UN website and social media. Other functions and tasks as assigned by the Director of the Information Centre for Mexico, Cuba and Dominican Republic. Qualifications/special skillsPosting Text: Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required. Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PH.D. He or she reports to the NIO of UNIC Mexico. The internship is UNPAID. The Interns must cover full-time working hours, for 6 months - 35 hours per week. Special notice: Applicants must have good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Teams. Applicants must have good knowledge of multimedia production programmes, such as Adobe suite Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, Capcut, Canvas or related.
