Terms of Reference1. General Background

UNHCR Korea started its Private Sector Partnerships Services (PSP) in 2009, and since its launch, the program has grown significantly in terms of donor base and fundraising income.

The number of active regular giving donors of UNHCR Korea has exceeded 220,000, and it has become more important to build robust and long-lasting relationships with donors who contribute to supporting the refugee cause.

UNHCR Korea aims to recruit staff responsible for assisting the donor retention and development program in order to provide satisfactory donor experiences and maximize their lifetime value.

2. Purpose and Scope of Assignment

Under the supervision of the Senior PSP IG Assistant (Donor Retention & Development), the individual contractor will assist with the following responsibilities:

- Assist in developing and executing detailed plans to enhance the donor journey, with a particular focus on donor engagement activities;
- Plan and implement a recognition program for donor anniversaries;
- Assist in developing and implementing middle-value donor retention and development program;
- Research and curate engaging content, including stories, photos, and videos, that resonate with the audience and support our fundraising goals;
- Craft compelling donor communication messages in Korean suitable for various channels, such as email, text messages, and direct mail;
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of communications to donors, responding promptly and professionally to their inquiries and requests;
- Coordinate with external vendors for project execution and manage administrative tasks related to procurement and payments;
- Perform other duties as required.

3. Monitoring and Progress Controls
The individual contractor will work for the UNHCR Korea Office under the direct supervision of the Senior PSP IG Assistant (Donor Retention and Development). The individual contractor will perform duty in a combination of office and flexible working environments in line with UNHCR Korea’s guidelines.

4. Qualifications and Experience

a. Education
- Completion of high school diploma or university degree, preferably in marketing, communications, business administration, or other related fields.

b. Work Experience
- Relevant working experience in marketing, communication, fundraising and/or Customer Relations Management (CRM) is preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience with High School diploma; or 0 year of relevant work experience with Bachelor or equivalent or higher.

c. Key Competencies
- Strong organizational and communication skills;
- Experience in fundraising, donor communication and/or Customer Relations Management (CRM);
- Strong copywriting and editing skills;
- Knowledge of specific software including Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere);
- Fluency in Korean and English (both written and spoken)
