Background: PROSAFE is an international non-governmental\norganisation established in 1991 by market surveillance officers from countries\nthroughout Europe. The main goal is to contribute to cooperation of Market\nSurveillance Authorities by organising Joint Actions and by developing and\npromoting best practices.
PROSAFE\ncoordinates a series of Joint Actions, which are (co-)financed by the European\nUnion and framework contracts for the European Commission.More information can be found on PROSAFE's website\natwww.prosafe.org andwww.eepliant.eu.\n\n
Job purpose:\n\n
· \nPerform and control actively\ngeneral finance and accounting activities;\n\n
· \nMaintain finance and\nadministrative systems to ensure smooth and efficient processes are in place;\n\n
· \nUndertake\nfinancial monitoring and reporting of EU grants and other projects, ensure\ncompliance with the EU financial rules for eligibility;\n\n
· \nProvide financial advice on the\ndesign and control of PROSAFE's EU and other projects (in both application and\nreporting stages).\n\n
Responsibilities:\n\n
· \nProvide\nsupport in the day-to-day PROSAFE's financial management;\n\n
· \nInput\nall entries into the general ledger, including staff costs, processing\nsuppliers' invoices, company taxes and social taxes;\n\n
· \nProcessing\nand verifying bank payments.\n\n
· \nReconciliation\nof bank accounts with bank statements.\n\n
· \nMonitor,\nregister and verify project expenditure, lecting timesheets, payslips,\ninvoices, travel and other costs reimbursements and all other supporting\nevidence needed to comply with EU rules.\n\n
· \nSupply\nweekly reports for the running and finalised grants to the Executive Director;\n\n
· \nLiaise\nwith the project participants regarding their project administration;\n\n
· \nPlay\nan active role in the internal and external audit process, including preparing\ninformation for auditors.\n\n
· \nCoordinate\nwith suppliers and other partners and handle queries;\n\n
· \nContribute\nto the preparation of the budget and project financial reports, ensuring all\ndeadlines and conditions described on contracts are met;\n\n
Profile:\n\n
· \nMandatory:\nUniversity degree of minimum 3 years in accountancy, economics, finance, business\nadministration;\n\n
· \nA\nMasters' degree in the above fields is a plus;\n\n
· \nAt\nleast 4-5 years' experience in accounting and/or financial project management;\n\n
· \nProven\nexperience working in an international context and liaising with stakeholders\nfrom different EU countries;\n\n
· \nKnowledge\nand experience of FP7, H2020, Lif, etc. funding and financing rules are a\ndesirable asset;\n\n
· \nWorking\nknowledge of accounting software is an asset;\n\n
· \nA\ncan-do attitude, backed by speedy and accurate work;\n\n
· \nAnalytical\nmind with aptitude in math;\n\n
· \nA\nproblem-solver with attention to detail and ability to spot errors;\n\n
· \nGood\ntime management - able to work under strong pressure and dedicated to meet\nvariable deadlines.\n\n
The candidate should also be eligible to work\nin Belgium.\n\n
