Work LocationRemote/Home Based Expected duration3 months Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe objective of this consultancy is to assist the Knowledge and Risk Unit to develop the CEO endorsement documents and appendices for the GEF-funded programme “Global Chemicals Monitoring Programme to support implementation of Stockholm and Minamata Conventions (GCMP)” (GEF ID 11534) particularly its six child projects (GEF ID 11535, 11536, 11537, 11538, 11539, 11540), ensuring consistency across its six child projects, adherence to language standards and conformance with GEF style guidelines. Qualifications/special skillso Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in environmental science, environmental managemen1t, sustainable development, international relations or a related field. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. o Proven experience in drafting comprehensive GEF project documents is required. o Experience in coordinating with multiple stakeholders, including government agencies, international organizations, and consultants, to gather inputs and finalize project documents is required. o Experience with rules of the UN, especially processes in relation to project development, roles of parties and other stakeholders and related technical terms is desirable. LanguagesEnglish, Spanish and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, excellent English writing skills are required.
