IOM Greece through futured medical project foresees the provision of medical, nursing and psychosocial support services to asylum seekers and beneficiaries of temporary protection, who reside or will reside during the implementation of the Project in the asylum seekers’ accommodation facilities under the responsibility of the Reception and Identification Service (RIS).

Under the overall supervision of the National Project Officer and the direct supervision of the Project Assistant, the successful candidate will assist the coordinator in the implementation, monitoring, reporting of project activities.

  1. Assist in the implementation and monitoring of project activities.
  2. Collect on timely manner project data, reports, timesheets, and registry lists from the IOM field staff, performing analysis of demographic and health data and preparation of regular reports related to the to help inform timely decision making.
  3.  Contribute to the development and review of health specific data collection tools for IOM and partners and implement proper backups, restore, data validation, and security procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
  4. Utilize ArcGIS, InDesign, Excel, Power BI, or equivalent software to support development of MHD public reports and information products, which include data analysis, maps, dashboard and infographics, coherent report structure and appropriate contextualization.
  5. Coordinate closely with other relevant units within IOM Greece, such as ICT
  6. Ensure that all data provided is in line with the established mechanisms and IOM rules and regulations overseeing the documentation compliance especially on data protection and data management)
  7. Assist with financial and invoicing administration procedures of the project.
  8. Assist the project managers organizing meetings with the relevant stakeholders, partners, donor, etc., keep meeting minutes, oversee and follow up on the implementation of action points.
  9. Provide logistical support in organization of monitoring visits, trainings or any other events related to the project. 
  10. Produce or generate reports and briefs in a timely manner for donors, partners and other IOM units in close coordination with the Program Manager and the Programme Support Unit.
  11. Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

    Education

    • University degree in Business or Economics or Public Administration or Social Sciences, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with minimum three years of relevant work experience; or,
    • High School Diploma with at least five years of relevant work experience. 
    • Master's degree in the above fields is an advantage.

      Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.

      Experience

      • Experience in data analysis tools would be considered a strong advantage;
      • Experience in liaising with governmental and diplomatic authorities as well as with international institutions;
      • Experience working in a multi-cultural environment.

        Skills

        • Strong organizational, facilitation, communication, writing and presentations skills;
        • Computer literacy in standard software applications (MS Office, etc.);
        • Valid driver’s license with at least five years’ driving experience an advantage.

          Languages

          • Fluency in English and Greek (written and oral) is required.  IOM’s official languages are English, French and Spanish.
