    To provide operational support to WFP field offices and cooperating partners implementing school-based programmes across the country to achieve WFP’s strategic objectives in line with established targets and donor requirements

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (not all-inclusive, nor exhaustive):

    1. Provide inputs to the development of school-based programme activities, annual workplans and country office Annual Performance Plan.
    2. Provide technical support to the field offices and cooperating partners on WFP supported school-based programmes [ school feeding, Literacy, nutrition and health] implementation and ensure that activities are performed within the established targets following WFP’s policies and procedures.
    3. Build capacity of WFP field office staff and cooperating partners officials on school-based programmes and implementation in line with the operational guidelines and donor requirements.
    4. Facilitate timely preparations and implementation of school feeding field level agreements (FLA) throughout the life cycle of the activity.
    5. Undertake regular field monitoring visits to continually assess activities delivery against agreed program results and recommend action to enhance the quality of programmes and ensure delivery is achieved per donor contracts.
    6. Represent WFP in Education and school health and nutrition technical working groups at Dhaka level in collaboration with cooperating partners.
    7. Coordinate and liaise with internal counterparts [ Supply chain, RAM, CP management] to enable effective collaboration, implementation, and monitoring of ongoing school feeding activities.
    8. Prepare and track school feeding pipeline and update programme plan in collaboration with supply chain and Budget & programming team.
    9. In collaboration with field office prepare and share the delivery schedule for school feeding for the field offices and coordinate with supply chain unit for timely availability of food.
    10. Monitor and track financial disbursements for cooperating partners and utilization making sure that funds are being utilized on achieving planned outputs and expenditures are submitted timely.
    11. Prepare monthly school feeding reports on the implementation progress and draft school feeding inputs to internal and external reports including donor reports, executive briefs etc.
    12. In collaboration with M&E teams, lead and ensure accurate and timely recording of school feeding data and facilitate post distribution monitoring, or other school feeding related survey and assessments in WFP implemented areas.
    13. Act as an escalation point for complex query resolution on all matters within the area of responsibility.

    Education: Completion of Advanced University degree in Education, Social Sciences, Economics, or a related field.

    Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience including 3 years of professional experience in education, social protection, or development sectors, including project management. Experience in designing and implementing school-based programmes including Literacy, nutrition, health and school feeding, Familiarity and experiences of working with different UN agencies and Government, Experience engaging with stakeholders at national and sub-national levels.

    Language: Fluency in spoken and written both in English and Bangla language.
