About your role: WRI India is looking for a motivated Program Associate to assist the Cities & Transport Team output high-quality research. This role primarily includes partnering with relevant project teams to create successful research designs along with structuring and drafting appropriate research pieces. You will work on diverse research and research writing projects in multiple sectors and domains ranging across sustainable transportation and air quality. You should possess skills in research writing, along with experience in building either (or both) quantitative and qualitative research. Candidates with research experience in the following areas: sustainable mobility, electric mobility, urban and transport policies, social science and/or public policy research will be preferred. The goal is to design and create new research, analysis, and evidence to inform policy and practice for sustainable mobility, fitting into WRI India’s long-term Strategic Plan.How your day will unfold:
Your responsibilities will include the following:- Assist teams, under the guidance of the relevant Research Lead, on research on sustainable transport, electric mobility, and policy research and work closely with team members and collaborators within and outside WRI on aspects of project research,- Organize, review, and summarize relevant literature, policy documents, government documents, and data from multiple sources under the guidance of the relevant Research Lead for the aforementioned research products and deliverables,- Draw up outlines and publication plans for research papers for the aforementioned research products conforming to WRI India’s Research and Data Integrity (RDI) standards,- Help draft relevant research papers after publication plans have been approved by the RDI team,- Conduct (or advise on) data exploration, survey design, quantitative research, and provide analytical solutions and insights to meet project outputs
