Under the overall supervision of the National Resources Management Officer and the direct supervision of the National Financial Officer, the successful candidate will provide procurement and logistic support to the Resources Management Unit in the Northern Brazil.
1. Ensure that all procurement and contracting processes are in full compliance and all activities are up to date with IOM and donor reporting and auditing requirements.
2. Provide support and guidance to Program Support focal people with regard to procurement procedures and advice as appropriate on the most cost effective and efficient methods in procuring goods and services.
3. Coordinate with Procurement colleagues for the smooth transmittal of All Purchase orders are to Logistics unit after getting the confirmation from vendors of delivery terms and signed on the PO.
4. Create and update a pricing list for most used items for the programme.
5. Follow up with suppliers for the timely and proper delivery of the goods/ services.
6. Conduct regular vendors’ checks and market surveys to ensure full knowledge of the availability and price of different supplies and goods in the local market.
7. Liaise with the Logistics and Procurement Officer regarding procurement and service requests and requirements, to consolidate overall mission procurement requirements and optimize purchasing power.
8. Assist in the arrangement of office vehicle maintenance, storage and insurance.
9. Perform other related duties as may be required
