Processing photo uploads:
Prioritise and process new and existing uploads of photos to Refugees Media, contacting photographers and
other UNHCR colleagues to ensure each image is in line with UNHCR’s ethical guidelines and has the necessary
consent, usage information and key metadata including dates, locations, captions, names and other background information.
Image research:
Research images in Refugees Media for use in various UNHCR and external channels, taking into account the
theme, audience, media and other considerations.
Image download requests:
Respond to photo requests from internal and external users of Refugees Media, checking the suitability of
images against the intended usage and UNHCR’s ethical guidelines. Provide users with feedback, referral and
further guidance as appropriate in case of rejection of requests.
