Administer individual pension rights, including calculations on tax compensation, survivor’s pensions, preparation of administrative documents, updates, adjustments, and entitlements, in accordance with the Agency’s Staff Regulations. Handle the accurate attribution of household, educational, and family allowances, as well as sickness cover for pensioners. Provide assistance and support on tax implications related to the EUROCONTROL pension and internal tax scheme. Support the administration of the end-of-service process ensuring the correct payment of employee benefits and entitlement to the unemployment allowance. Support the inward transfer of pension rights for new staff members and of actuarial pension rights for departing employees. Process personal and sensitive data with high level of confidentiality and ensure relevant databases with individual entitlements are maintained up to date, including through annual or ad hoc surveys. Participate to improvement initiatives such as projects on automation, review of processes/tools, review of legal framework, etc. and propose pro-actively changes to further enhance the service. Carry out any other task in line with the main purpose of the job.

Required qualifications, experience & competencies

Candidates must fulfil one of the following requirements: Completion of third level studies, meeting European Qualifications Framework (EQF) Level [7] or higher (Master’s degree or equivalent) and minimum 3 years of relevant working experience. Completion of third level studies, meeting European Qualifications Framework (EQF) Level [6] or higher (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) and minimum 4 years of relevant working experience. Completion of post-secondary education, meeting European Qualifications Framework (EQF) Level [5] or higher and minimum 6 years of relevant working experience. A degree in HR, Social Sciences, Finance or Law will be considered an asset. Experience in HR administration, preferably in the field of compensation and benefits areas within an international organisation or a national administration. Knowledge of social security regulations (ideally for Benelux, Germany or France) and associated legal aspects, either from experience with national social security administrations or in intergovernmental organisations. Experience with PeopleSoft, SharePoint, SAP Business Objects, Power BI will be considered an asset. Ability and interest in working with numbers. Ability and interest in working with internal rules and regulations related to the working conditions. Analytical thinking: you analyse information and identify relationships. The working languages of the Agency are English and French. For this particular job, candidates must be proficient users at level C1/C2 in one of the 2 languages (English or French) and independent users at level B1/B2 of the other. Knowledge of other European languages, in particular Dutch or German would be an asset. The levels relate to the European-framework-reference Common European Framework of References for languages (CEFR).

The selected candidate will be offered a contract for a duration of 5 Year(s) in accordance with the provisions of the Conditions of Employment of Contract Staff at EUROCONTROL. This contract may be renewed for a total duration of up to nine (9) years, or it may be converted into an undetermined contract. The selected candidate must successfully complete a probationary period of nine (9) months before being established in the post. The successful candidate shall be engaged in principle at the basic grade of the advertised grades.
