IFC has demonstrated unwavering support for Ukraine amidst Russia's invasion, launching a $2 billion Economic Resilience Action (ERA) program to bolster the Ukrainian private sector. This initiative aims to provide both short-term liquidity and long-term financing for critical sectors such as food production, construction materials, energy, shipping, and digital infrastructure. By working closely with partners and donors, IFC is committed to helping Ukraine rebuild and recover, ensuring economic resilience and supporting the country's reconstruction efforts.
IFC is seeking an Operations Analyst to be based at IFC’s office in Kyiv, Ukraine. As a key member of the Regional Team, the Operations Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Country Manager and team. This is a dynamic role that requires will involve research, analytical work, and operational support related to IFC’s activities.
Duties and Accountabilities :
• Collecting, organizing, and analyzing portfolio and pipeline data to present the data in various formats for different audiences, ensuring a high degree of accuracy and consistency. Organizing, preparing and reporting on regular portfolio and pipeline reviews with industry departments and other internal stakeholders, such as the blended finance department. Maintain a good working knowledge of current advisory and investment operations (including blended finance) in Ukraine and respond promptly to queries from management and staff.
• Conducting industry research, combining information from various sources to create a coherent and comprehensive overview of specific topics or projects. Conduct mapping and research on the business community in Ukraine, including corporate profiles, financial analysis, and initial due diligence on mapped companies.
• As needed by Country Team, drafting clear and concise summaries of reports, research findings, and other relevant documents as needed for IFC’s operations in Ukraine. Monitoring policy developments in Ukraine, including related to IFI and EU reform frameworks, checking implementation of key policy and regulatory reforms, including attending meetings and preparing briefs on topics related to economic policy development in Ukraine.
• Assisting in planning and conducting visits by IFC management, contributing to drafting briefing materials.
• Creating visually engaging presentations that effectively communicate complex information to stakeholders, including senior management, clients, and partners.
• Support the Country Team with overall project management, planning, and monitoring of deliverables to ensure the timely and quality delivery of the work program. Minuting of meetings as needed by the Country Team or Senior Management.
Selection Criteria
• Bachelor's or equivalent degree from a reputable university; preferably with major in economics, business or finance.
• At least two years of work experience in banking, consulting, or another fast-paced, knowledge-based work environment. Experience engaging with the private sector and related stakeholders in Ukraine preferred.
• Advanced Excel and Power-Point skills, solid experience in using AI-enabled tools.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to take initiative and work across organizational boundaries. High energy with strong professionalism, maintaining confidentiality and using discretion when required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Ukrainian.
• Ability to thrive under pressure and function effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines while working on multiple projects.
