Under the overall authority of Head of Office, overall supervision of Education Specialist, daily direct supervision of the Project Officer (PO) for Education (CSESI), and guidance provided by the Education Unit at UNESCO Dhaka Office, the incumbent will support the contextualization of Global CSESI for Bangladesh at the national level along with the implementation of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and Greening Education (GE) initiatives and perform the following responsibilities:
Provide technical, administrative and logistical support for project formulation and financial management
Support to conceptualize, develop, implement projects on CSESI, ESD, GE, and SDG 4.7, 12.8, and 13.3 initiatives;
Prepare Concept Note, proposal and budget plan for CSESI, ESD, CC, GE to mobilize resources;
Prepare project work plans, budgets, and proposals on project implementation arrangements;
Process contracts and payments for consultants and IPs;
Support for routine delivery and reporting of project-supported activities and financial monitoring with spot checks for quarterly financial reports of IPs;
Identify sources, and gather and compile data and information for the preparation of documents, guidelines, speeches, infographics, and position papers;
Support the implementation partners (IPs), including liaison, coordinate and communicate activities, do follow up as necessary;
Monitor implementation schedule of project activities, budgets, expenditures, and raise issues with PO as necessary.
Facilitate knowledge building and knowledge sharing
Support to synthesize lessons learnt and best practices related to project management and finance;
Support to contextualize project documents in English and Bangla, drafting letters and documents, situation analysis, rapid needs assessment, design hybrid training programme, action research and assessment, desk review to produce well-articulated reports, publications, curated resource pack, and blueprint.
Provide administrative and daily operations support
Undertake all logistical, administrative, and financial arrangements to organize meetings, workshops, consultations, seminars, trainings, orientations, launchings, disseminations, events with internal and external stakeholders, and missions;
Support stakeholder engagement from Govt., private, development and other sectors through CSESI, ESD and GE workplans implementation;
Make travel arrangements, travel requisitions and claims for the ED Team;
Prepare public information materials, briefing packets, prepare PPTs and other presentations, and assist with IT support.
Ensure gender equality and intersectorality are considered and integrated into all activities and aspects;
Carry out additional programmatic, operational, and administrative responsibilities as delegated by both the Supervisor and the Head of Office.
The incumbent will provide the monthly deliverables within 2025 covering the following (by 22 May, 22 June, 22 July, 21 August, 22 September, 22 October, 20 November and 22 December):
List of meetings attended with minutes
Draft agenda, budget, participant list, invitations, PPT and list of proposed speakers prepared for each event
Draft TORs for entities and personnel to arrange committee meetings, orientations, workshops, consultations, trainings, studies, surveys, etc.
Draft CPE content for social media posts for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube, including 2 web articles by 22 June and 22 December in 2025.
Salary is Negotiable between BDT 70,000 – 80,000 based on qualifications and expertise.
