Project Context and Scope
As part of its efforts to promote regular, safe and informed migration, IOM is supporting the Government of Burundi in preparing candidates for labour migration through the development of pre-departure orientation programmes. These programmes aim to provide migrant workers with the necessary knowledge about their rights, responsibilities, living and working conditions in destination countries, channels of redress, as well as practical information to better prepare for their departure. To support this process, IOM wishes to recruit a national consultant in charge of developing communication and information materials adapted to the Burundian context and based on international standards.

Tasks to be performed under this contract
Under the overall supervision of the IOM Chief of Mission and the direct supervision of the Head of LMI Unit , the Consultant will:
I. Carry out a preliminary analysis of information needs based on a review of existing PDO training modules and the specific needs identified in Burundi, with the aim of proposing adapted communication formats and tools to help migrant workers better understand and engage with the PDO content.
II. Design a complete communication kit for pre-departure orientation: illustrated information brochure for migrant workers (English and Kirundi), educational posters for training centres, scripts for video or audio clips on key themes (migrants' rights and duties, contracts, health, etc.)
III. Produce appropriate information materials: brochures, illustrated educational booklets, awareness-raising video clips, digital content for online dissemination (social networks, websites)
