The Monitoring & Evaluation Associate will work under the supervision of the Head of Monitoring and Evaluation Unit, to support planning and implementation of monitoring and evaluation activities on effectiveness and impact of WFP’s activities in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive, nor exhaustive):
Assist in the Monitoring and Evaluation activities under WFP’s Country Strategic Plan.
Supervise the monitoring team in the West Bank overseeing data collection arrangments, monthly monitoring plans, training sessions, sample preparation, performance monitoring, and feedback provision.
Develop and update data collection tools ensuring compliance with corporate standards.
Support the analysis of monitoring data collected through different phases of programme implementation, analyzing a set of outcome indicators, based on WFP’s corporate standards.
Prepare a range of reports and data analysis ensuring deliverables adhere to corporate standards and quality control and ensure accurate, timely recording of data within the specific technical area of work and consistency of information presented to stakeholders.
Perform quantitative and qualitative data analysis, visualization, and prepare summary and detailed reports based on the corporate reporting standards.
Directly supervising the Field Monitors, including arrange for data collection exercises including, preparing the sample, following up with the field staff, and setting the data collection plan.
Support in coordinating M&E activities with WFP’s partners as required.
Assist in providing inputs and update indicators, baseline and target values based on the WFP M&E framework.
Provide any other M&E support as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Education: Bachelor's degree in economics, Statistics, Performance Management, Social Sciences, Social Development or a related field.
Experience: A minimum of six years of experience in research, analysis, monitoring and evaluation.
Knowledge and Skills:
Has research experience using variety of analytical tools and methods for causality analysis, forecasting, and other data modeling needs.
Strong analysis capabilities and report writing skills including undertaking statistical analysis.
Experience in technical report writing and research activities.
Sound teamwork competencies are essential.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Power-point, etc.).
Proficiency in Adobe illustrator or any other similar tools
Proficiency in any of the statistical software, i.e SPSS, Stata, etc…..
Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in Arabic and English.
