The OSCE has a comprehensive approach to security that encompasses politico-military, economic and environmental, and human aspects. It therefore addresses a wide range of security-related concerns, including arms control, confidence and security-building measures, human rights, combating human trafficking, national minorities, democratization, policing strategies, counter-terrorism and economic and environmental activities. All 57 participating States enjoy equal status, and decisions are taken by consensus on a politically, but not legally binding basis.
According to its mandate, the OSCE Programme Office in Astana is entrusted with supporting Kazakhstan in implementing OSCE principles and commitments in all three dimensions within the OSCE framework approach to co-operative security, and in the regional context.
The Office of Head of Mission plays a key role in supporting the Mission in the effective implementation of the mandate, providing effective leadership for its implementation.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
The incumbent will support the Office’s activities in the Office of the Head of Mission, and in particular, support its visibility efforts inter alia on social media.
The incumbent will lead and manage social media content, which includes planning, creating, posting, and sharing content (original text, images, video, Stories, Reels), under the guidance of the Deputy Head of Mission and in co-ordination with the OSCE Secretariat. The incumbent will also have the opportunity to develop his/her professional skills in an international environment.

Necessary Qualifications:
- Should have experience in either communications, public relations, visibility, or media relations;
- Excellent knowledge of Instagram, X, Facebook, and other social media best practices;
- Ability to work simple photography and video equipment;
- Strong writing and communication skills in Russian, Kazakh, and English languages;
- Readiness to accompany the Head of Mission and other senior OSCE officials to events and visits;
- Demonstrated gender awareness and sensitivity, and an ability to integrate a gender perspective into tasks and
activities;
- Ability and willingness to work as a member of team, with people of different cultural, and religious backgrounds, different
gender, and diverse political views, while maintaining impartiality and objectivity.
Remuneration Package:
Monthly remuneration is EUR 848.33. Social benefits will include participation in the Cigna medical insurance (subject of additional deduction from the monthly remuneration).
