World Wildlife Fund (WWF), one of the world’s leading conservation organizations, seeks a Manager, Private Sector Engagement (Food & Hospitality Services)
Major Function
The primary function of the Manager is to manage day-to-day relationships and help develop corporate partnerships focused on U.S. food and hospitality services sectors to further WWF’s mission, Global Goals, and objectives for transformational partnerships. This crucial work helps improve integration of environmental risks and delivers greater sustainable development practices across value chains and for the benefit of local communities and ecosystems. The Manager is a member of the transformational partnerships team within WWF’s Private Sector Engagement (PSE) department and focuses on research, relationship management, and the development of projects and communications/educational materials to support WWF’s conservation goals.
Responsibilities
Manages cross-functional corporate relationships focused on sustainable business engagement, cause marketing, policy/advocacy, and/or philanthropic work streams.Leads development of a food and hospitality sector engagement strategy ensuring alignment across partnerships and with broader food and tourism strategies within WWF US and across the global WWF network.Coordinates across WWF-US and the WWF global network to monitor trends, issues, and opportunities in the sectors and align on organizational priorities.Works closely with WWF legal and PSE business services teams to ensure partnership agreements are correctly implemented.Responsible for prospect research and due diligence reviews for sector partners.Monitors and ensures compliance with contractually required reporting and deadlines.Develops compelling proposals, presentations, and other communications; collaborates with WWF communications and technical staff to review and approve partnership related communications materials.Prepares forecasts for annual budget and department expenses for managed corporate relationships when required.Represents WWF at relevant events and meetings related to sustainability and business partnerships.Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of relevant work experience is required. A graduate degree in business, sustainability, or a relevant field is preferred.Knowledge of food and hospitality sectors is required and corporate sustainability experience is strongly preferred.Strong knowledge of sustainability standards and disclosure frameworks preferred.Demonstrated excellence in project management, with strong research, analytical, and verbal/written communications skills. Ability to manage multiple workstreams against a scope of work and timeline.Ability to operate with independence and collaboratively, under pressure.Possesses strong interpersonal skills and ability to build lasting relationships.
Experience with strategy development and ‘big picture’ thinking.Proven negotiation and conflict resolution skills and experience.Willing to travel up to 10% of the time within the US and internationally.Prior people-management experience is a plus.Fluent spoken and written English language skills required; international experience and other language skills preferred.Committed to building and strengthening a culture of inclusion within and across teams.Identifies and aligns with WWF’s core values:
