Housing Coordinator

It is entrusted with fostering improved quantity, quality, and dependability of production systems and basic cereals such as maize, wheat, triticale, sorghum, millets, and associated crops through applied agricultural science, particularly in the Global South, through building strong partnerships.
CIMMYT is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and service-oriented professional for the position of Housing Coordinator to work in BSD department in the Operations chapter.
The positions will be based at CIMMYT\u2019s headquarters in Texcoco, near Mexico City.
Specific duties:
Accommodation Management
\u00ae Plan and execute all short- and long-term accommodation bookings based on availability, covering not only hotels but also residential housing and living areas.
\u00ae Manage the full booking cycle, from request reception to cost allocation within the appropriate project budgets.
\u00ae Handle all accommodation-related requests from staff and visitors for the CIMMYT Hotel, residential areas, and recreational facilities, ensuring prompt resolution.
Customer Service and Continuous Improvement
\u00ae Assess customer satisfaction, prepare related reports, and maintain accurate statistical tracking to support continuous improvement plans.
\u00ae Administrative and Financial Control
\u00ae Maintain administrative oversight, prepare accounting records, and produce monthly sales reports for the hotel, residential housing, and recreational areas.
\u00ae Operate within departmental budgets by effectively managing inventories and costs, and by planning resources efficiently.
Facilities and Operations Oversight
\u00ae Ensure that all lodging facilities (Hotel Maya, Olmeca, Guest House, and residential buildings) and recreational areas (including but not limited to the gym, pool, sports courts, barbecue areas, Rinc\u00f3n Mexicano, playgrounds, and other facilities) remain in optimal operational condition at all times.
\u00ae Oversee all necessary maintenance and cleaning activities.
Housekeeping and Laundry Supervision
\u00ae Supervise all housekeeping and laundry operations to ensure a high level of service, reduce inefficiencies, and improve response times.
\u00ae Oversee laundry practices, enhance service quality, and improve team performance by emphasizing training and collaboration.
Communications and Information Management
\u00ae Manage the Inside CIMMYT page related to accommodation, housing services, recreational areas, housekeeping, and laundry.
Required qualifications, skills, and attitudes:
\u00ae Strong organizational and planning skills to manage multiple accommodations and facilities
simultaneously.
\u00ae Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with staff, visitors, and suppliers.
\u00ae Customer service orientation.
\u00ae Administrative and financial management, including reporting and cost control.
\u00ae Ability to supervise teams in housekeeping and laundry.
\u00ae Problem-solving and decision-making skills to address operational issues efficiently.
\u00ae Knowledge of reservation systems, POS, PMS, and internal communication platforms.
\u00ae Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards in cleanliness, maintenance, and
service.
\u00ae Teamwork and training skills to develop staff and ensure consistent service quality.
\u00ae Professional appearance and attitude.
\u00ae Fluent in English.
