Specifically, with our Employee Resource Groups, you will organize days of recognition celebrations, lead DEI projects (e.g. EDGE re-certification) and direct learning activities, workshops, communication pieces and other inspiring DEIB initiatives.

Reporting directly to the DEI Advisor, you will work in the Leadership and Employee Development Division, part of the Human Resources Department (HRD), and in close collaboration with other HRD functions. The Human Resources Department is responsible for the administration and development of the human capital of the IDB Group. The main functions of the department include managing the entire employee lifecycle, overseeing the implementation of the People Strategy, and implementing programs and methodologies in direct support of the IDB's mission. HRD is also dedicated to deliver human centered experiences and strategically partnering with professionals who are passionate about improving lives in Latin America and the Caribbean. What you’ll do:

  • Work with the DEI Advisor and the DEI Specialist and collaborate closely with other partners and stakeholders to develop systems and analyses for measuring inclusion and diversity in the workplace and the effectiveness of DEI initiatives.
  • Lead HRD work with the Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), collaborate on their yearly work plan, facilitate ongoing communication, co-plan events to celebrate diversity and inclusion.
  • In collaboration with the ERGs, organize International Days of Recognition events and communication material.
  • Plan and prepare DEI related events, workshops, meetings and consultations which include proposing agenda topics, identifying participants, preparation of documents and presentations, etc.
  • Analize data in support of DEI targets, analyzing datasets and results and developing approaches to utilize data for decision making.
  • Contribute to identifying priorities and issues to be addressed and proposing concrete follow-up actions to enable a more equitable, inclusive and diverse work environment.

    What you'll need

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree or Master's (or equivalent advanced degree) in Social Sciences, Human Resources, International Development, Management, Business Administration, or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role.
    • Experience: 7 years of relevant and progressive professional experience or Master’s + 5 year of experience
    • Languages: Proficiency in English.

        Requirements

        • Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries.
        • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
