  1. Role and responsibilities

    The purpose of a logistics officer (Fleet focused) is to provide the day to day implementation of the fleet function responsibility.

    The following is a brief description of the role.

    Generic responsibilities (max 10)

    1. Ensure adherence to NRC policies, handbooks, guidelines, SOP’s and donor requirements
    2. Implement delegated fleet functions portfolio according to Plan of Action
    3. Conduct and follow up daily operational fleet activities 
    4. Support the administration of resources so that deliverables are achieved within set budgets, timelines and standards
    5. Prepare and develop fleet reports as required by Area and Country office
    6. Support in development of SOPs as requested
    7. Ensure proper filing of all support documents
    8. Promote and share ideas for improvement of the fleet function 
    9. Perform other duties, as assigned by Line Manager

      Specific responsibilities

      1. Ensure the fleet is utilized and optimised accordingly in terms of safety and cost effectiveness.
      2. Ensure all vehicles are equipped according to NRC safety policy.
      3. Ensure monitoring the fuel status of the vehicles and keeping track of the fuel received and consumed.
      4. Ensure that all vehicles are appropriately marked with NRC logos and other visibility identifiers, and that these markings are consistently maintained in good condition.
      5. Follow up and reporting of any vehicle incident following NRC procedures applicable to such situation.
      6. Ensure close daily coordination with Safety Security team. Focal point for dissemination of safety related information to the drivers, including before and during any field movement.
      7. Manage the drivers as per HR procedures and ensure balanced workload and clear responsibilities. Monitor their performance, follow up on their leave balance, overtime along with all administrative issues.
      8. Handles the supporting documents for payments of car rental, and other fleet related expenses.
      9. Update and maintain effective movement plans.
      10. Acts as focal point for movement requests related to Gaza Area Office, act as a link between Logistics and Safety & Security Departments
      11. Ensures proper filing of fleet documents like vehicle rental contracts, driving license copies, vehicle registration copies, logbooks, facilitation letters.
      12. Compiles and submits monthly carpool reports and vehicle maintenance reports
