TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The World Food Programme (Caribbean Multi-Country Office) is seeking Expressions of Interest from qualified individuals for future consultancies in the Caribbean.
All applications received will be reviewed and go through a selection process to assess relevant experience and qualifications. Applicants who meet the selection criteria may be contacted for further interviews or assessments and to confirm their continued interest and availability.
Successful candidates will be placed in a roster for short-term opportunities and may be contacted according to operational needs. Rostered applicants may remain on the roster for 24 months.
WFP offers a competitive compensation package determined on the basis of the Terms of Reference and the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.
BACKGROUND
The WFP Caribbean Multi-Country Office (MCO) supports 22 countries and territories across the English- and Dutch-speaking Caribbean. WFP Caribbean’s capacity strengthening programme focuses on vulnerability analysis and mapping; end-to-end supply chain management; shock-responsive social protection; food systems strengthening; and climate risk financing. In times of crisis, WFP works with partners to provide direct assistance when events surpass national and regional capacities by delivering food, cash or voucher assistance, or through emergency logistics or emergency telecommunications service provision.
WFP works with governments and regional institutions to strengthen logistics systems through process improvement activities aimed at keeping supply chain performance levels high and ready for emergency activation. This includes support on strengthening logistics systems by focusing on key sub-processes such as demand planning, inventory management, transport, warehousing, and quality assurance. The approach is grounded in enabling and supporting government-led systems while delivering targeted operational support where it's needed most.
To contribute to the daily planning, coordination, and continuous improvement of WFP’s logistics operations by leading or supporting activities across the multi-Country office, monitoring contracted service providers to ensure cost-effective performance and full achievement of objectives, and partnering with key supply chain functions to deliver an integrated approach that meets the food assistance needs of beneficiaries and partners.

STANDARD MINIMUM ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Advanced University degree in Transport Economics, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business Management or other related field, or First University degree with additional years of related work experience and/or training/courses.
Years of relevant experience
Level 1: 3-5 years of relevant professional experience
Level 2: 6-10 years of relevant professional experience
Languages
Fluency in both oral and written communications in English
