Role and responsibilities
NRC Palestine is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and highly motivated profile with a strong background in Supply Chain Management. The job holder will need to be willing to work in a changing environment and adapt to changes, as well as dedicate extensive part of her/his time to provide on-the-job training to staff and oversight and monitoring of procurement activities with limited travel to support the Area offices.
The purpose of a Logistic Coordinator is to implement delegated area of logistic responsibility and deliver a variety logistics related activities, including contract management, management of warehouse, fleet, distribution and assets.
Generic responsibilities
Ensure adherence to NRC policies, handbooks, guidelines, SOP’s and donor requirementsImplement NRC’s logistic systems and procedures at CO levelCoordinate timely operational planning and management of logistic activitiesEnsure that local SOP’s regulate procedures at field office level, and perform periodic checksCoordinate market assessment within the scope and request of programme/project developersPrepare and submit reports and analysisEnsure proper filing of all support documentsSupport line managers in procedures and require support team trainings related to logisticLine management of the logistic team including recruitment and performance managementProvide anti-corruption, transparency and cost efficiency focus in all processes (e.g. in procurement, vehicle management, asset management)Ensure safe and efficient transport of staff and materials/goodsPerform other duties, as assigned by Line ManagerContribute to implementation of Safe and Inclusive Programming Minimum Standards across your area of work.
Specific responsibilities
Ensure the timely delivery of logistics support services to all NRC PS projects in COAssist in providing technical guidance and training to AO Logistics staff to effectively support ongoing projectsAssist in logistics budget preparation and follow up and manage allocated budget linesDirectly assisting and contributing to program and project design, including budget developmentResponsible for NRC PS assets management in country office, ensuring compliance with NRC and donors’ policy Ensure efficient fleet management for the country office and coordination with AOAssist with contract management and roll out of electronic contract management system.Adherence with formalized in country logistics policy documentation in line with NRC Global proceduresMonthly report on key performance measures for all aspects of logistics activities and regularly review them against actual performance for CORespond to audits as neededGeneric professional competencies:
Minimum 3 years of senior Logistics experience in Humanitarian contexts.Bachelor's degree in supply management, Business Administration or any other related field is required. An advanced degree equivalent to master's degree is preferred. Proven experience in conducting an international and local procurement.Proven experience on Supply Change Management and Compliance.Experience from working in complex and volatile contexts.Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities.Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and verbal.Previous experience in INGO is a plus.What we Offer?
