This is a hybrid position which requires 8 days per month in the office. You can be based in our office in Washington DC Office. Existing work authorization is required at the time of application submission as WRI is unable to sponsor any visa work sponsorship for this position. About the Program:

The Greenhouse Gas Protocol is the world’s leading authority and international standard setter on corporate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions accounting. Over 92% of Fortune 500 companies that report emissions data to CDP rely on the GHG Protocol standards and guidance. Building on a twenty-year partnership between World Resources Institute (WRI) and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), the GHG Protocol works with governments, industry associations, NGOs, businesses, and other organizations. The GHG Protocol also provides standards, tools and online training to help countries and cities track progress towards their climate goals.

Job Highlight:

Reporting to the Learning Program Lead, you will be responsible for the maintenance and administration of GHG Protocols learning technology, provide timely support to our global users, and collaborate with colleagues on education and improvement initiatives. You will work as part of a dynamic team and support the work of the GHG Protocol generally as needs arise. You will collaborate with colleagues in GHG Protocol and at WRI and WBCSD.

What will you do:

Maintain our learning technology (40%): -

  • Monitor the use of GHG Protocol’s learning technology, including the learning management system, ecommerce tools and automation tools, and ensure its operation with limited interruptions to users
  • Independently research issues and interface with learning technology providers to identify and implement solutions
  • Coordinate with learning technology providers to manage system migrations and updates
  • Perform LMS administration functions including creating, updating and testing learning objects, managing enrolments, and managing users and permissions
  • Update learning technology policies, procedures, and documentation as needed
  • Generate reports on learner activities for internal and external use
  • Identify improvement opportunities in learning technology and recommend solutions

    Provide support to our users (40%): -

    • Provide support to our users and address their inquiries in a timely manner, including course discounts, invoices, enrolment, course completion, and certificates
    • Interface with users and WRI Grants and Contracts team to complete necessary vendor and licensure agreements
    • Work with our Communications team to notify users on system changes, new features, and service interruptions
    • Update internal processes and documentations and user resources as needed
    • Provide training to users and admins on our learning technology as needed.

      Collaborate with colleagues on education and internal improvement initiatives (20%): -

      • Coordinate with other workstreams in GHG Protocol to improve internal processes and workflows
      • Partner with subject matter experts to create educational material as needed
      • Partner with other learning teams in WRI to align and improve learning-related workflows and practices

        What will you need:

        • Education: You have completed a bachelor’s degree preferably in learning technology, learning design, education, or a related field
        • Experience: You have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience, ideally within an international nonprofit organization
        • Experience with learning management system (Moodle) and global user support required
        • Familiarity with SCORM, AICC, and other eLearning standards required. Some experience in learning experience design, project management, and content management preferred
        • Strong computer skills and experience in Microsoft Suite, Asana, content management systems, database management, cloud- and web-based communications.
        • Languages: English proficiency and preferably one other language
        • Requirements: Existing work authorization is required where this position is based. WRI is unable to authorize visa work authorization

          Potential Salary: US salary range is between 69,000 and 73,000 USD. Salary is commensurate with experience and other compensable factors.
