About this position

We are looking for a strategic and highly motivated professional with experience designing, producing, delivering, and evaluating learning products. As a Learning Coordinator, you will make a difference by fostering a continuous learning culture. IDB provides a comprehensive learning product portfolio ranging from open educational resources to broad audiences (MOOCs) and more specialized courses, face-to-face and online private courses (SPOCs).

You will work in the OLP, the Knowledge and Learning Division (KLD) at the IDB. This team helps ensure access to relevant and high-quality knowledge and technical learning to support corporate processes and speed up the preparation and execution of the Bank’s operational program.

What you’ll do:

  • Support the management of knowledge and learning projects. It includes administrative and logistical aspects of the production and delivery of project activities.
  • Support conceptualization, preparation, and implementation of learning programs.
  • Support need assessments, gap identification, and prioritization of learning needs.
  • Support preparation of learning objectives, modular structures, activities, and learning resources.
  • Support preparation of formative and summative assessments, including open-response assessments and rubrics.
  • Ensure production quality of training resources, such as readings, case studies, practical exercises, guidelines, and rubrics.
  • Contribute that courses are aligned with Quality Matters (QM) standards (i.e., ensure the alignment of learning objectives, contents, activities, and assessments).
  • Create items, offerings, and surveys, register participants, and issue certificates in the Bank's learning management system and other related activities.
  • Prepare and analyze monitoring and evaluation reports.
  • Look out for new learning trends, tools, and cutting-edge referents to increase learning interventions' effectiveness.
  • Propose innovative approaches to increase effectiveness and continuous improvement.
  • Other relative activities to achieve the consult goals.

    What you’ll need:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in pedagogy, education, psychology, or related fields. Candidates with a Master, Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO®), certification in project monitoring (M&E), or certification in e-learning will be considered positively.
    • Experience: You must have at least two (2) years of experience as an instructional designer or coordinating learning programs. Experience in remote education aimed at public or private sector officials will be considered positively.
    • Languages: Excellent English and Spanish language proficiency, verbal and written, is required. French and Portuguese a plus.
