About this position

We are looking for a passionate, detail-oriented and organized professional with outstanding communication and negotiation skills and capable of handling multiple streams of work with efficiency. As Project Manager, you will (main tasks in the context of the team).

You will work in the Business Partners for Sectors team part of IT department. This team is responsible for serving as the strategic interface with the business Departments and Offices for the purpose of technology delivery, solution discovery, service delivery reviews, and relationship management.

What you’ll do:

Work in the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of program work streams.

  • Contribute to stakeholder alignment.
  • Organize the overall project and establish clear roles and responsibilities for each work stream and activity in the plan.
  • Analyze project plans to identify and mitigate risks and minimize potential roadblocks.
  • Collaborate with working groups and stakeholders to create and maintain a detailed project plan.
  • Schedule and prepare meeting materials for project team meetings, including kickoff, testing kick-off and sign-off, go/no-go, post-mortem, etc.
  • Facilitate meetings, capturing and tracking issues reported during all phases of the project.
  • Drives assigned team actions to resolution by working with action owners.
  • Monitor project risks and develop mitigation strategies to meet the program goals and objectives.
  • Facilitate the creation of presentations and training events to educate stakeholders on project solutions, strategies, purposes, plans and status.
  • Close the program and report overall level of success to sponsors and stakeholders, and identifies lessons learned for continuous improvement.
  • Develops and implement a communication plan for the team’s initiatives.
  • Assist the Capital Project team in (i) Creating a work plan for the projects in scope. (ii) Establishing clear roles and responsibilities in each plan. (iii) Supervising the implementation of each project in scope. (iv) Coordinating the Capital Project monthly status report. (v) Present the project status to stakeholders.

    What you'll need

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and a Project Management Institute (PMI) certified Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
    • Experience: Minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in Project Management or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.

        Requirements:

        • Citizenship[1]: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries with residency or legal permit to work in selected countries(see foot note for selected countries)
        • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
        • Remote Modality: The selected candidate will not provide services from the Bank’s office and will not be provided a physical space on the premises of the Bank’s Country Office. The candidate selected will be responsible for setting up the space, and for having the equipment, internet, and phone accesses to accomplish these TORs, outside the Bank’s office. Access to the Bank’s systems will be arranged in coordination with the Bank.
