About this position:

We are looking for a skilled strategist and specialist to execute transformation project within the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). The New IT Operating Model initiative is pivotal within the ITE Department's strategic priorities, focusing on evaluating processes, governance, and product management practices. The selected candidate will contribute to agility training, pilots, and feasibility studies, aiming to optimize value delivery and streamline processes.

You will work in IPP part of ITE Department. We seek an experienced strategist and specialist to execute IT transformation projects, emphasizing integrated management systems, processes, and governance.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and implement transformation strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to execute initiatives efficiently.
  • Analyze current processes, systems, and structures for improvement.
  • Provide strategic guidance to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Monitor and evaluate project progress, ensuring objectives are met.
  • Maintain alignment and buy-in among stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Conduct process mapping exercises and identify areas for optimization.
  • Utilize Lean principles to analyze and reduce waste.
  • Implement improvement initiatives and provide training.
  • Create detailed process documentation using BPM mapping techniques.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills.

    What you'll need

    • Education: Master’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
    • Experience: Minimum 5 years executing IT transformation projects.
    • Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.

      Technical Skills:

    • Knowledge in IT management framework
    • Strong understanding of ITIL, COBIT, ISO 27001, and other relevant frameworks and standards.
    • Proven track record of implementing and managing IT governance frameworks and management systems in a complex organizational environment.
    • Proven experience leading successful transformation projects in a complex corporate environment.
    • Utilize BPM mapping techniques to create detailed process documentation and flowcharts.
    • Leverage Power Automate tools to automate and streamline manual processes.

      Desirable Skills:

    • Strong strategic planning and analytical skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and develop actionable plans.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
    • Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience leading cross-functional teams and driving change.
    • Knowledge of relevant industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in organizational transformation.
    • Comprehensive process mapping exercises to visualize and document existing workflows.
    • Utilize Lean principles and best practices to identify and analyze wastes in current processes.
    • Implement continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Provide training and guidance to team members on process optimization methodologies.

      Requirements:

    • Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries.
    • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
