About this position

We are looking for an experienced professional to work on the ITE/IPP Policy and Planning Division as a Solutions Architect/Lead Developer with proficiency in designing, architecting, and implementing solutions for SaaS (Software as a Service), and PaaS (Platform as a Services) environment, translating business requirements into designs for secure, scalable, and reliable Cloud-native solutions. This position would be leading some development teams in charge of building and extending the Client Portal Experience, with multiple components of front-end, back-end and infrastructure.

What you’ll do:

You will report to the Enterprise Architecture Team Leader and the Enterprise Architect assigned to the domain of Client Portal Experience in the Information Technology Policy & Planning Division and you will work closely with the product-line leadership, Business-Partners, PMs, and business stakeholders. Following are the most important activities you will be doing:

Co-Design architecture for new components and new integrations with IPP team using IADB standards and guidelines. Assess the technical feasibility of proposed solutions, ensuring their compatibility with the bank's IT architecture. Clearly explain architectural choices and their impacts to non-technical stakeholders. Lead the development of the Client Portal Experience components, making sure that the requirements are well implemented, keeping the code healthy and clean. Prioritize and estimating development effort, to set realistic expectations around the delivery of features in production. Coordinate deployments and releases and monitoring of production instances using observability tools (Datadog). Create a test strategy sustainable so it is possible to have automated tests: unit, integration, e2e and contracts. Work within a cloud-native environment, predominantly using .NET, C#, and Angular, while also leveraging a diverse range of other technologies. Review PRs from back-ends and front-ends. Make sure the quality of the systems is highest possible, they are reliable, performant, and secure. Troubleshooting of bugs or production incidents, help development teams to fix the issues. Oversight of all the development lifecycle, code repositories, CI/CD pipelines, quality gates and scanners, infrastructure as code (Terraform, ARM)

What you'll need:

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent the equivalent combination of education and experience in any of the following fields: Computer Sciences, Information Technology, or related area. Experience: successful candidates should be able to clearly demonstrate skills with a minimum of two years in the following areas: Cloud: MS Azure (AWS is a plus). Should demonstrate relevant work experience and skills designing and maintaining cloud solutions with IaaS or PaaS. With good understanding of the network, security, and cost implications. Modern programming languages: .NET, C#, Angular strong programming skills as well as proficiency in software design and integration patterns. Database: MSSQL, Azure SQL, CosmosDB Cloud IaC: Terraform, ARMs, Azure CLI, PowerShell. CI/CD: Platform administration and management: Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus, JFrog. Modern Authentication: Azure AD, Azure BC2, with a good knowledge and use of modern authentication mechanisms (OAuth2). APIs: Good knowledge of RESTful and HTTP Protocol, Azure API Management and Swagger. Automated Testing: Hands on experience on Automated Test (Playwright, Specflow and Gherkin) Monitoring: Datadog (Preferred), Azure Monitoring. Solid understanding of SOA and/or microservices architectures as well as their correspondent implementation using serverless or containerized infrastructures. Expertise on working with cloud-native integration services and event driven architectures.

Languages: Proficiency in English and one of the other Bank official languages (Spanish, French or Portuguese) is required.

Requirements:

Citizenship: You must be a citizen of one of our 48-member countries, and a citizen or permanent resident of a country where the IDB has a Country Office Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
