The ITS Enterprise Services unit, provides a wide range of technical services: data centers, system administration, database, middleware, cloud, enterprise monitoring and identity and access management.

Role
Enterprise data protection technical lead. Responsible for enterprise storage, backup and data protection.
Responsibilities:
* Primary responsibility of this position is listed below:
-Proactively identify changes required to maintain and enhance a robust data protection posture.
- Operate Storage enterprise infrastructure.
- Operate Backup enterprise infrastructure.
- Manage moderate to large sized projects and lead implementation efforts.
Activities Include:
1. The Storage and Backup Administrator position is responsible for tasks including design, development, implementation, testing, and introducing new products or improvements to existing products.
2. Oversee support for the storage and backup production environment, ensuring that security policies and best practices are consistently implemented and enforced across on-premises, AWS, and Azure platforms.
3. Responsible for designing, configuring, implementing, and maintaining various backup platforms and related technologies. Experienced in configuring AWS FSx and Azure File services, as well as installing, configuring, and managing backup infrastructure. Skilled in backup and recovery technologies for the protection of machines, databases, and other services within AWS and Azure environments.
4. Perform daily triage, updates, and resolution of tickets generated through the ServiceNow ticketing system and respond promptly to incoming phone and electronic requests for technical support.
5. Design, implement, and manage infrastructure as code solutions utilizing Terraform, Chef, and Rundeck.
Familiarity with storage platforms and related technologies such as Pure Storage Arrays, Cisco switches, Storage Area Network, and NAS file systems.
Selection Criteria
1. A master's degree with five years of relevant experience or a bachelor's degree with at least seven years of relevant experience is required.
2. Possesses comprehensive knowledge and practical experience with enterprise backup solutions like CommVault, Dell, Cohesity, Rubrik etc.
3.Possesses experience with cloud infrastructure, including AWS and Azure storage, as well as backup and recovery services.
4. Proficiency in at least one programming language, with the capability to develop algorithms and automate recurring tasks.
5. Experience with data analytics and familiarity with tools such as Splunk.
6. Comprehensive knowledge of disaster recovery configurations, processes, and recovery procedures. Familiarity with ransomware attacks, including mitigation methods, data protection through backup and testing, and recovery strategies.
7, Proven track record of operating effectively within large, matrixed organizations characterized by multi-tiered governance frameworks, intricate IT environments, and a diverse range of clients.
8. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, including identifying issues and analyzing root causes.
9. Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of industry best practices within the technology sector, with proven experience translating theoretical concepts into effective solutions in complex IT and business settings. Shows a strong commitment to ongoing education in emerging security practices and policies.
10. Organized, agile, persistent, and proactive. Shows experience with making decisions, attention to detail, and clearly communicating complex information.
11. Demonstrated capacity to collaborate effectively with colleagues across organizational boundaries, contributing meaningfully to team outcomes while showing respect for diverse perspectives. Utilizes exemplary interpersonal and teamwork skills to foster strong client relationships and productive partnerships throughout the organization.
