Work LocationIn-Person/Full-time (Incheon City) Expected duration2- 6 months Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe internship opportunity at the ESCAP Subregional Office for East and North-East Asia (SRO-ENEA) located in Songdo, Incheon, Republic of Korea, spans a minimum duration of two months, with the possibility of extension up to six months as deemed necessary by the office. This internship is UNPAID and full-time. Interns work five days per week (40 hours) under the supervision of a designated staff member in their assigned team. Intern responsibilities involve dynamic and varied tasks related to social affairs, with a focus on hosting of CITYPRENEURS from April to June 2025. This includes contributing to event organization, research, and planning activities as well as other related initiatives, including research on SDG progress and ageing population trends of the East and North East Asia subregion. Duties include a range of tasks, including but not limited to: • Attending and summarizing meetings with resource persons and partners on initiatives and discussions related to social affairs; • Reviewing and analyzing literature and policies related to urban innovation, social entrepreneurship, and SDG progress of the subregion; • Assisting in the planning and implementation of CITYPRENEURS events and meetings; • Supporting research on youth entrepreneurship trends and relevant policies, and providing assistance in drafting and preparing official documents for CITYPRENEURS initiatives; • Conducting follow-up research on the ageing population and its implications for policies in East and Nort East Asia subregion, leveraging digital technology to enhance insights for subregional strategies ; • Providing logistical and organizational support during events and workshop. Qualifications/special skillsApplicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required. Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PH.D.
