To enhance and deepen the dialogue about relevant energy issues, the German Chancellor and the Indian Prime Minister established the Indo-German Energy Forum (IGEF) in 2006. IGEF aims at initiating strategic cooperation projects between German and Indian governments, institutions and the private sector with focus on the market for energy efficiency and renewable energy.
One innovative concept towards achieving India’s target for renewable energy is Agriphotovoltaics. GIZ India and the IGEF-SO support the development of enabling policies, promotion of research and knowledge management as well as implementation of pilot projects and capacity building activities for Agriphotovoltaics in India.
The objectives of the project are achieved through the following:
GIZ is looking forward to welcoming you in our IGEF Support Office in New Delhi, India. Our daily business is to enhance the Indo-German cooperation in the fields of renewable energies. India has set very ambitious targets including increasing the renewables capacity to 500 GW by 2030, and thereby meeting 50 % of its energy requirement from renewables. IGEF-SO organizes business and capacity building delegations to Germany and India, supports its partners in setting up workshops, organizes working group meetings, conducts studies, supports pilot projects and is actively present at many conferences of the energy sector in Germany and India.
Please be informed that you are only allowed to apply for this internship, if you are currently enrolled as a student or graduated not longer than six months ago from the start of your internship.
We pay a monthly stipend of €2.134,52 (gross). Depending on the country of assignment a monthly expatriation allowance (gross), predetermined by GIZ will be paid on top.
