About this position
IDB Invest is looking for an experienced professional with a track record in the implementation of Treasury infrastructure and processes, primarily those related to Derivatives, Asset Liability Management and Funds Transfer Pricing.
In this role, you will contribute to the successful implementation of key initiatives required for scaling-up operations in line with IDB Invest’s Impact+ mandate. Your responsibilities will be dynamic, and depending on your expertise and profile, you will either lead, support, or backfill staff participating in these initiatives.
You will work in the Treasury Division which is part of the Finance and Administration Department. The Treasury Division is responsible for the execution of IDB Invest’s borrowing, hedging, trading, and cash management activities, as well as the management of IDB Invest’s overall balance sheet. Treasury is composed of four different units: Funding, Investments, Local Funding Solutions, and Asset Liability Management.
What you’ll do:
i. Assessment and implementation of new derivatives infrastructure required to scale up currency hedging activities and overall balance sheet market risk hedging activities.
ii. Design and implementation of instrument and market data configuration processes to ensure the capability and versatility to maintain and expand local currency hedging solutions.
iii. Implementation of internal ALM market risk books and related processes to enable the implementation of risk consolidation and transparent execution of balance sheet level hedging activities.
iv. Design and documentation of new business processes required to operationalize the new derivatives system infrastructure. (e.g., trading, booking, amending, product templates)
v. Design and documentation of derivatives valuation processes and system maintenance activities with relevant stakeholders.
vi. Implementation of new Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) framework, methodologies, and processes. Coordination with the respective evolution of the profitability reporting framework.
vii. Development of business requirements and coordination for the integration of the FTP process with the origination ecosystem and profitability management reporting.
viii. Coordination of Treasury’s stakeholder participation in additional institutional infrastructure initiatives (e.g., loan system replacement)
What you'll need
To excel in this role, you will need:
a. Demonstrable experience with treasury management systems and processes, IRS and XCCY OTC Derivatives, fixed income valuations and overall market risk management processes.
b. Essential project management skills to coordinate the execution of new initiatives (i.e., business / functional requirements, roadmaps, reporting, tracking, and communication with all levels of stakeholders)
c. Ability to communicate effectively with personal and presentation skills.
d. Strong motivation, self-drive, and sense of accountability.
