The position of IT Support Technical Assistant is based in Ramallah, offers the chance to play a major role in supporting staff across the entire West Bank region. In addition to providing remote assistance to colleagues in various offices, there may also be occasional travel to sub-offices within West Bank.

We are seeking a candidate with a background in ICT (Whether through education or professional experience), to support staff with patience and clear communication, while also driving digital innovation within NRC team.

Generic Responsibilities: 

Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelinesAssist with the implementation of the ICT portfolio according to plan of actionPromote and share ideas for improvement of the ICT functionContribute to implementation of Safe and Inclusive Programming Minimum Standards across your area of work.

Specific Responsibilities: 

Support new hires onboarding by preparing the ICT package, assets and required access.Provide first-line support to staff for IT-related issues, including troubleshooting hardware and software problems.Support managing the ICT devices in accordance with the ICT policies and procedures.Manage daily telecommunication related requests and provide monthly analysis reports.Support the inventory, installation, maintenance and the payment documentation of any new device, system or network equipment.Conduct regular visits to sub offices to ensure that the IT infrastructure and users’ IT-related inquiries are being addressed as required.

Generic Professional Competencies: 

Experience from working as an ICT worker in a humanitarian/recovery contextPrevious experience from working in complex and volatile contextsWorking knowledge of English 

Context/ Specific Skills, Knowledge and Experience: 

Bachelor's degree in relevant field such as ITFluent Arabic and English, both written and verbalStrong communication skills, written and oral, be able to communicate effectively, produce reports, and present solutions.Strong organisational and team working skills
