Generic responsibilities 

Adhere to NRC’s ICT policies and procedures, handbooks and guidelines  Contribute to ICT strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements, when required. Work with ICT Coordinator CO to enable them to provide ICT 1st line support as well as assist with planning, budgeting and procurement as per NRC standards.  Cooperate with ICT Coordinator CO to provide training of ICT staff in country and (when relevant) support the recruitment and/or on-boarding of new ICT staff in country. Ensure system security Ensure that network access privileges, applications, data storage and regular backups are configured and maintained Implement and update a data disaster recovery plan (back up) Schedule computer related services, maintenance and license renewals Ensure installation and maintenance of IT protection services (anti-viruses and firewalls) Plan network upgrades, expansions and replacements  Provide ICT support and refresher training to Nile office staff and other Areas when requested  Participate in the procurement processes of ICT equipment/software and Provide specification for any ICT equipment to purchased and provide technical bids analysis to ensure the purchase will conform to standards and software in place.

Specific responsibilities

Ensure ICT equipment, hardware, software, and other resources are available and well maintained  Troubleshoot, diagnose problems, implement corrective actions, monitor, and facilitate repairs of ICT equipment Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners Participate in the set-up of fiber optic installation for NRC’s NAO  Monitor, maintain and make payment renewals for MTN router system NRC NAO Guesthouse and MTN router back-up system for NRC Nile Offices Participate in set-up of V-SAT installation for NRC’s premises, if applicable in the future  Provide ICT support and capacity building to users in NAO and other Area offices (if requested) related to hardware, software, peripherals and other ICT resources (internet, e-mail, Sharepoint, Sudan Team Site, Filing Tree etc)  Support Programmes and M&E in NAO related to any specific ICT needs  Set up and configure general hardware, peripherals and accounts assigned, as per security level  Keep track and ensure proper handover, including signatures for ICT equipment including mobile phones, dongles etc  Interact with external parties when required (for example ICT service providers for internet) to ensure NRC NAO enjoys optimum services Implement NRC filling system (electronic files) at NAO as per NRC standards  Support ICT Unit CO in relation to Asset Management keeping Asset Register for NAO up to date  Support NRC Sudan offices when field ICT are out of office (on leave) or in a field mission if requested Facilitate creating NRC official mail ID for newly hired staff for area office. Providing regular training and instruction to NAO staff on use of Office 365, Unit 4 & Budget monitoring tools, DocuSign, Fresh service, Meta compliance and other NRC services Work with Logistics to ensure ICT equipment is tagged, and any loss/damage is reported as per NRC standards
