About this position

The Human Resources Department (HRD) is responsible for the administration and development of the human resources in the IDB Group. It also oversees the implementation of the People Strategy building and implementing programs and methodologies in direct support of our results-based business model and focusing on the development of the IDB Group’s talent and technical skills capacity. We are looking for a versatile and focused professional with a background in HR policy development to join our team.

The team’s mission: the Policies and Labor Relations (PLR) team is integral to maintaining a positive work environment and developing comprehensive workplace policies that govern employment with the Bank and labor relations. The team plays a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the human resources policies and procedures in implementation of the Bank’s Institutional Strategy and People Strategy. We collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure that policies adapt to the Bank’s evolving needs and improve the employee value proposition.

What you’ll do

  • Research, draft, and support in the implementation of HRD policies, as needed to implement the Bank’s Institutional Strategy and People Strategy; covering all stages of the Bank employee’s lifecycle: talent acquisition, performance management, career development, compensation and benefits, and termination.
  • Engage with internal teams, including across HRD and the Legal Department, to ensure that the policies are consistent with the business needs, identify improvements, and compliance with Bank regulations.
  • Review the HRD regulations and support in the process of streamlining and simplifying the HRD policy system.
  • Research market trends and benchmarks to support the policy design.
  • Support with the translation, and dissemination of policies.

    Deliverables and Payments Timeline

    Payments will be made upon the PEC's submission of invoices linked to the delivery and acceptance of the above-mentioned activities by the project supervisor. Invoices will account for the number of days worked on a given product, activities performed, and outputs delivered.
