Expected duration6 months (flexible) Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis internship is located in the Global Strategy and Policy Division of the Office of Human Resouces in the Department of Management Strategy, Policy and Compliance (DMSPC), in New York. The intern will report to the Mental Health Strategy Implementation Lead in the Mental Health & Wellbeing Strategic team. Among other responsibilities, the intern will: 1. Assist in updating and maintaining the mental health strategy Sharepoint records and files ensuring accuracy and confidentiality 2. Assist with preparing materials for the mental health strategy team presentations 3. Assist with compiling content material for the Healthy Workforce platform and website and coordinate with the relevant departments to track workflow 4. Support the mental health strategy team with editing of technical documents by tracking changes 5. Coordinate a launch event with the project manager and stakeholders for the Mental Health and Wellbeing Online Programme-Lead and Learn Part 2 6. Assist the mental health and wellbeing strategic lead in creating a repository of best practices for enhancing engagement with workplace mental health in the Secretariat 7. Attend and summarize mental health strategy meetings and the related working groups Qualifications/special skillsApplicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). Educational background or exposure to human resources, psychology, public administration or related issues is desirable. Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required. Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PH.D.
