Organise and coordinate with internal and/or external key players (e.g. On The Job Instructors (OJTI) and Unit Instructors, external instructors in unit training) various training activities (e.g. OJTI training, OJTI refresher courses, human performance training), ensuring compliance with applicable legal provisions and quality standards. This includes defining the course structure, training method and infrastructure requirements. Serve as a trainer and coach for OPS-related training, developing training plans and producing relevant materials, such as presentations, e-books, etc. to respond to specific development needs. Evaluate individual performance through progress reviews and propose personalised development plans tailored to each coaching trajectory. Adopt and enhance the current portfolio of performance assessment and development methods, identifying areas for improvement and anticipating future needs. Participate in periodic student (e.g. ATCO) performance reviews and identify opportunities for improvement. Produce reports on human performance activities and organise and conduct coaching as well as personal development sessions. Monitor and review training activities, identify and assess future training needs, and recommend emerging training methods and trends. Provide expert advice withing the area of expertise and contribute to the Training team’s activities as needed. Participate in the selection process of Ab-initio students. Carry out any other task in line with the main purpose of the job.

Required qualifications, experience & competencies

Third level studies in a relevant domain (e.g. psychology, sociology) meeting European Qualifications Framework (EQF) Level 7 or higher. Or Third level studies in a relevant domain (eg. psychology, sociology), meeting EQF Level 6 or higher plus 1 year of relevant working experience. Coaching certificate (e.g., ICF or similar). Internal candidates can check on the intranet to see what level of in-house experience is considered equivalent to educational qualifications where appropriate. A minimum of 3 year(s) of relevant working experience. Experience in delivering training tailored to diverse audiences. Experience in the design and delivery of innovative learning solutions, training techniques and assessment methods. Experience or understanding of modern training design methodologies and teaching methods. Understanding of tools and methods to assess and enhance performance in human performance (e.g. HeartMath, Insight Discovery, Spotlight). Pedagogical skills and impactful presentation style. Ability to motivate and engage with diverse audiences. Commitment and motivation to stay informed on industry trends and best practices, offering valuable insights and recommendations to shape initiatives and programmes within human performance. Knowledge of EASA and other relevant regulations of ATCO training. Communication : You adapt communication to different situations and audiences. Planning and organising : You plan ahead and adapt as required. Managing change : You support the change process. Creativity and Innovation : You apply new approaches. Customer Focus : You respond effectively to customer enquiries. Ability to work in a multinational and multicultural environment. Professional conduct in line with the corporate behaviours of the Agency, i.e. result-driven, readiness to change, customer focus, integrity and team-player approach. The working languages of the Agency are English and French. For this particular job, candidates must be proficient users of English at level C2. Proficiency in Dutch or any other European language will be considered an advantage. The levels relate to the European-framework-reference Common European Framework of References for languages (CEFR).

This contract may be renewed for a total duration of up to nine (9) years, or it may be converted into an undetermined contract. If selected, the person will keep their current type of appointment duration (undetermined or determined).
The internal staff member with a determined contract will be offered, in principle, an appointment for 5 Year(s) with a maximum total duration of 9 years. The successful candidate shall be appointed at the grade set out in this vacancy notice, or if a group of grades has been published for a job level, in principle at the basic grade of the published job level. Candidates declared suitable who are not selected for the post will be placed on a reserve list for similar roles. The reserve list will be valid for one year from the closing date of applications.
