We are looking for a French-speaking and experienced humanitarian with a true desire for making a difference in the coordination of humanitarian NGOs interventions and advocacy strategy in Mali!
Due to armed conflicts, inter-community clashes, and food shortages, Mali is experiencing a deterioration of the security situation, increasing humanitarian needs, and displacements due to conflict. An estimated 4.3 million people (21.5% of the population) are affected by these crises. making an increasing number of people in protracted displacement and dependent on humanitarian assistance and protection for survival.
The coronavirus pandemic is a serious challenge for the country’s fragile health system. Access to education in Mali is under increasing pressure. An estimated 378,000 children are out of school due to conflicts.
Insecurity in Mali threatens humanitarian aid workers’ safety and hampers their access to the people in need.
The GTAH (Groupe Thematique Assistance Humanitaire) is an independent coordination platform composed of more than 20 international non-governmental organizations that serve and facilitates the work of its members to respond to the needs of people affected by crises in Mali.
As Manager of the GTAH forum, you will ensure effective coordination and communication among GTAH members, steering and technical committees, donors, and other stakeholders. you will lead the humanitarians NGOs advocacy strategy in Mali.
You will work under the supervision of the GTAH Steering Committee and the FONGIM.
Contract period: 1 year
Duty station: Bamako, with 10% travel to the field.
Salary/benefits: competitive benefits package as per NRC’s general directions
Grade: 9 according to NRC Grade structure
