It is expected that over 100 images will require creation or modification. Under the guidance of the Medical Devices Unit technical personnel, specific activities include:
Create an inventory of all materials listed in the catalogue under the responsibility of the Medical Devices Unit and indicate whether the image is appropriate and up to date. For those materials where the images are missing or of poor-quality, new images are to be created, consistent with other images already in the catalogue or used in other UNICEF published documents and in the format as requested by UNICEF. The material owners of the products will provide the Intern with example images of the actual products, from which the Intern will generate graphic renderings that combine features of form and function across the supplied images. All images generated during the internship will remain the Intellectual Property of UNICEF. Any newly developed images are to be subsequently organised by material number and filed in an organised manner in SharePoint. These should subsequently be easily accessible by Material Owners and other team members for updating when and where needed. Draft a report on the findings and recommendations after the completion of the above activities and present those findings to the Medical Devices Unit and Heath Technology Centre. Assist with the graphic design of other communication materials and tools related to the products of the Medical Devices Unit (MDU), as requested, such as technical briefs, product guides, webpages, presentations, etc. Any other duties or assignments as requested by the supervisor.Expected Deliverables:
Scoping document, providing an overview of materials requiring updated or new images. Following a review of these initial findings the final project scope will be agreed. Appropriate images are created, based upon the resultant project scope and plan, and in a design style that is consistent with UNICEF standards and the request of the Medical Device Unit.
