The Resident Coordinator system encompasses all organizations of the UN system dealing with operational activities for development, regardless of their formal presence in North Macedonia. Working closely with the national government, the Resident Coordinator and the UN Country Team (UNCT) advocate for the interests and mandates of the UN system while drawing on the support and guidance of the entire UN family. The Resident Coordinator (RC) is supported by a team of professionals in the Resident Coordination Office (RCO) organized around the key functions: • Oversight of the implementation of the UNSDCF; • Support to national and UN coordination and aid effectiveness. • External communication and advocacy on system-wide issues such as human rights and gender equality; • Representation of the UN development system and support to UN agencies; • Development and facilitation of shared operational support services; and • Joint resource mobilization and fund management. RCO includes a Team Leader, Economist, Partnership and Financing, Data Management and Results Reporting; and Communication officers, a Human Rights Advisor, Executive and Administrative Assistants and a Driver. RCO needs support from an individual contractor that will translate data and narratives into clear, well-structured visual products that support effective reporting and communication by the UNCT. Duties and Responsibilities Under the guidance of the RCO and in close collaboration with the Data Management & Results Reporting Officer and the Communications Officer, the contractor will: 1. Annual Results Report (ARR) design. • Develop the complete layout and graphic design of the ARR (approx. 25–35 pages). • Create a refreshed, modern visual identity for the ARR while adhering to UN branding guidelines. • Design the cover, back cover, section dividers, headers, and visual motifs. • Stylize and enhance data visualizations based on visuals provided by RCO (charts, graphs, infographics). • Create new infographics where needed (approx. 30 visual elements total). • Develop LNOB spotlight blocks and other narrative highlight elements. • Ensure a coherent, accessible, and visually appealing document ready for publication in PDF format. • Prepare printable version of the ARR (proper margins for printing, etc) 2. Joint Work Plan (JWP) template design • Design a clean, UN-branded layout for the JWP template (approx. 10–15 pages). • Integrate visual hierarchy, typography, and optional infographic summary elements. • Ensure the JWP design is consistent with ARR visual identity. • Prepare final deliverables in editable formats (Word, InDesign, or similar). 3. Social media assets for ARR launch • Prepare 6–8 social media cards (square + landscape formats) promoting key ARR messages. • Prepare 1 web banner for ARR launch. • Ensure alignment with the ARR visual identity 4. Quality assurance and iterations • Participate in design review meetings with RCO. • Incorporate feedback from RCO, UNCT, and relevant thematic leads. • Produce up to three rounds of revisions for ARR and JWP. Qualifications/special skillsBachelor's degree, equivalent or recognized degree in graphic design, visual communication, illustration, fine arts or a related field is required. A diploma/certificate in graphic design combined with substantial relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a university degree. At least 5 years of professional experience in graphic design and layout of reports, publications or similar products is required; Demonstrated experience producing layouts, infographics, social media graphics and other visual communication assets- which would require either a portfolio or at least 5-6 samples of similar products is required; Experience in working with international organizations, UN entities or development partners is desired; Excellent command of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop (or equivalent tools) is required; LanguagesFluency of English language is required.
